Sentara Lake Ridge is Sentara Healthcare’s first outpatient facility in Northern Virginia to provide 24-hour emergency care by board-certified physicians and advanced imaging and laboratory services. Located at the corner of Minnieville Road and Summit School Road, the 43,500 square-foot facility is expected to open in early March 2012.
The Registered Nurse builds upon the nursing process in identifying and implementing nursing intervention for an individual or a group of patients. The nurse is required to assume leadership responsibilities which include: acting as a unit resource person, assisting with unit orientation, and serving as an associate or primary preceptor. The RN contributes to and participates in unit/hospital committees, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.
